I've been to hk twice before; once with family for a week in high school and one more time with friends for a mere weekend while studying abroad. And this was the first time I really got to wander about as sam patiently gave me a crash course to the different areas. I am constantly being pushed and shoved and there was one mean man who actually stomped on my foot when I tried to sit next to him in the mtr! Freaking jerk. Jk. But not really.
So far this is the advice that San has told me:
"Randi told me to tell you: don't be nice. Be mean. Otherwise they won't give you respect. And don't smile."
"don't jaywalk."
